No More Timeout - A Place of Remembrance

As I have become aware of WHO I AM and how that impacts HOW I BEHAVE, I had a lightbulb moment that I wanted to share with you. My idea involved an upgrade to the concept of timeout. My children are currently 7, 5 and 3 and sometimes we use timeout, but not so much these days as they seem to not need it thankfully!

My idea was to change timeout, to a place of remembrance. It may look the same as a timeout spot, but the concept is vastly different as I see from a new perspective.

My idea involves a chair, which is not a seat of punishment, but rather a royal seat to remind them they are a child of God.

Children (and adults) are NOT sent there because they are ‘naughty’ but rather to remember WHO THEY ARE!

Statements like, I AM KIND, I AM LOVING, I AM HELPFUL, I MAKE GOOD CHOICES, I AM FRIENDLY, I AM FORGIVING surround the place of remembrance and REMIND us WHO we ARE (pictures may be helpful for young children).

Children do not need to be told they are naughty. They must be reminded of who they truly are. We are created in God’s image. We are not naughty. We are not ‘ratbags’. We must choose our words carefully.

Do you behave your best when people remind you of your worst behaviour? I surely don’t. I behave the best when I am loved, accepted and I remember who I am according to my loving Daddy.

As parents, let’s choose to speak LIFE over our children. Let us remind them daily WHO they are and shower them with love. When they forget who they are and behave in a way that is not OK, send them to the place of remembrance where they can be reminded of WHO God made them to be.

Feel free to use this idea and modify it to suit your family.

Let’s move from punishment to empowerment in the way we raise our children.

Blessings

From Striving to Soaring

I am loving the journey and the study that I have chosen for this season of my life and it is massively impacting WHO I AM as well as HOW I LIVE. My latest thoughts have been about BEing rather than DOing. As a Christian, I have been brought up to DO the right things, SAY the right things and THINK the right things. And for the most part, I have lived like this by disciplining and controlling myself and it has been OK.

Well, over the past few years I have been learning about the importance of knowing WHO I am and that BEing must come before DOing. And just in the past few months, this revelation has grown in me deeper and wider and higher thanks to Sharnael Wolverton my essential oil Hero, Robert Stevens an author and speaker, my amazing leaders Mat & Renee Lansdowne and Andy & Dianna Piggot and so many more people and resources!

I received a prophetic song last month which says,
“I choose to soar, soar like an eagle. I quit all striving, flapping like a seagull.”
Not only was this funny, but profound. I had been watching a hawk that day and it was circling higher and higher for over a minute without any flapping. I was inspired. I wanted what that hawk had. I wanted to soar with grace and ease!

Now I am sure you all want to soar rather than flap. Everyone would rather choose grace and ease rather than striving right? Well what is the key? It is WHO YOU ARE! A seagull can TRY all day to soar without flapping, but it is not built to soar like an eagle. If you want to soar, you must choose to be an eagle. If your desire is to soar, and go to new heights and improve your health and live life more abundantly, then take heart, this is ALL possible when you CHOOSE to know WHO you are and WHOSE you are.

You are created in the image of GOD! You are creative. You are powerful. You are chosen. You are loved. You are blessed. You can choose to soar. You can choose to live with grace and ease. You can choose fun and joy everyday. That is who you are called to be and when you know that this is WHO YOU ARE, then you WILL SOAR with grace and ease!

I bless you with COURAGE to AWAKEN to who you are today.

You are an EAGLE.

The Kingdom is at Hand

I love how when Jesus walked the earth, He talked in parables. I love how He told stories and used pictures and this is often how He still speaks to me. The past few years have been filled with loads of fun revelation for me as I journey to understand God’s kingdom, and what that looks like.

In conversation with God one day, He showed me what it looks like for the kingdom to be at hand. To illustrate this, He showed me an iPad in my hand and He explained all the details to me.

Firstly, an iPad is an awesome piece of technology with such potential. That is us. That is all mankind. We are wonderfully and intelligently made. There is plenty that can be done without an internet connection, but we all know, an internet connection drastically improves its potential. And so it is with US and God. I’m talking about the 3G connection. A living active two way communication with the 3Gs. Father, Son and Holy Spirit! This connection unlocks incredible features on your iPad and creates unlimited possibilities. All the apps can come alive with this connection.

There are SO many different apps just as there are so many different abilities for us as people. The Gmail feature speaks to me of our communication with God. God’s google is available to us as an endless supply of knowledge and revelation. There is access to healing, prophecy, creativity, favour, freedom, love, joy, peace, forgiveness, reconciliation and SO MUCH MORE!

Just as with your iPad, you must first download an app and get familiar with how to use it. The more you use it, the easier it becomes. It is the same with us and the kingdom. The more you ‘access’ the kingdom apps at hand and use them, the more familiar they become and those aspects of the kingdom in your life grow.

The key to remember is your 3G connection. If you are having trouble accessing the kingdom right now, then check your connection. Don’t ditch all the apps and put down the technology because you can’t seem to access them. Work on fixing the connection first and the rest will follow. Focus your attention on the 3G connection, and the unlimited kingdom flows from that place.

The kingdom IS at hand. In fact, it is in YOUR hand. It is within YOU. Jesus ascended so that we could have the Holy Spirit live IN US and release the Kingdom from within.  So if you need access to the kingdom right now, have a go and make sure your 3G connection is strong and try out the apps you have been given. The world needs you to access the kingdom within. Go for it!
Now take a look at your hands right now and declare with me, “The Kingdom is at Hand!”.

A Healing Crisis -getting worse before you get better

When I first started using essential oils for health and healing in our home, I did not understand what a healing crisis was and I was sometimes confused by my body’s response to what I was using. From further experience and study, I have been able to learn what a healing crisis is and why it is a good thing.
Below is a definition:
“A healing crisis, or healing reaction, is a temporary worsening of symptoms that occurs when the body is going through the process of healing itself through the elimination of toxins. It occurs when the body “retraces” old injuries, wounds, infections or other imbalances from its past.”
Since having this understanding, I have realised that a ‘healing crisis’ can occur for all types healing whether it is physical, emotional or spiritual and the more people are INFROMED about WHY they are responding a certain way to a natural therapy, the more we can embrace the healing journey.

The ‘temporary worsening of symptoms’ is the hard part for most people, and sometimes, we give up on something because we feel ‘it is not working’. But that could not be further from the truth. Eliminating physical toxins as well as toxic thoughts and emotions can sometimes be painful…but the truth is, they are better out than in!
Many mainstream medicines “supress” our symptoms and do not involve a healing crisis, as nothing is being released, rather the pain or symptom is being switched off without removing the problem. Even mainstream culture has encouraged us to “supress” our emotions and “get over it”. But I want to suggest that this just leaves toxins within that will one day surface.

So if you are experiencing pain, physically or emotionally, your body or heart is trying to get your attention. When you start the journey to heal naturally, you may experience a healing crisis, but take heart. Do not stop. As my pastor says, “If God is revealing it, He is healing it”. KNOW that the healing crisis is only temporary and it is GOOD NEWS that hidden and stored toxins are being released which will lead to REAL HEALING and REAL FREEDOM.

My prayer is that you fully embrace the healing journey and find courage to endure the tough times to be fully healed. As Psalm 30:5 says, “Weeping may last for the night, but there is a song of joy in the morning”.

Much Love,
Raneeta

Essential Oils and Amplification

I woke up from a dream last month declaring over a microphone that, “Essential Oils amplify the body’s innate ability to heal itself”.

You see, God has been teaching me about magnification and amplification. It started off in my car with my iPhone playing music. I put the phone in the little compartment that it usually sits in, but this time I was playing music and the sound bounced back at me and was much louder. When I took the phone out, it was quieter, and when I put it back in (speaker inside) the sound was amplified.

Now some of you may be laughing at me, because you already know this, but for me, it began a week of revelation and understanding on amplification and magnification…including my dream. In my dream, I was in a parade and was meant to be singing and playing the guitar, but the microphone was not working. Since the microphone was not working, no one could hear me, but in my dream, all of a sudden, the microphone started working and I spoke these words to a crowd…“Essential Oils amplify the body’s innate ability to heal itself”. The crowd cheered and clapped, and I woke up.

I have been pondering on these thoughts and this dream, and I know this will help some people understand essential oils a little better. God designed you to be healthy. He designed your body to want to regulate itself and remain balanced. It’s called Homeostasis… and your body is constantly working to keep balanced from your blood sugar and blood pressure, to your fluid levels and temperature. So you were designed for healing. Your body is incredible at healing…but often, we don’t give it what it needs in order to heal, which leads to dis-ease in our bodies.

Simply put, essential oils enhance the inbuilt healing capacity within us. Pure essential oils are the lifeblood of a plant and carry the signature and aroma of that plant, along with its incredible healing properties. They work so well in our bodies because they are 100% natural, and our body knows how to work with natural things. Using essential oils for wellness is so wonderful because you are amplifying your body’s innate ability to heal, rather than working against your body.
I wholeheartedly recommend using essential oils everyday to support your health and amplify the healing taking place in your life. God created the plants, and He said, “It is good”. So work with what you know is good, and you will get good results.
If you want to know more about essential oils for your specific journey, let me know, because I would love to help you out with a wonderful natural solution.
Love, Raneeta
P.S Check out this cool invention someone made that relates to my little discovery! Have your own little experiment by putting your phone in a cup when you are playing music and experience 'amplification'

Dealing with Crap

I love revelations I receive while gardening. There is just so much to learn and apply to life in a garden. Well, I don’t love dealing with ‘crap’ in the garden, but you can’t really avoid it since it is so good for the soil. I’m no expert in gardening by any means, but I know that compost, including animal poop is great for the garden and from time to time, I find myself shovelling horse and chicken poop. Eeewwww... (photo just to gross you all out)
So here is the ‘light bulb’ moment I received while shovelling poop. It is not what life throws at us that determines how we grow, it is how we deal with the crap that is vital. If we don’t deal with the crap we face in life, and let it linger, we attract all sorts of unwanted attention including flies! Flies can then breed and multiply, causing a bigger mess than we started with and a stench!
Unforgiveness, bitterness, hurt, regrets, disappointment, condemnation, shame, jealousy... these things happen. And if we have the courage and the wisdom to process these feelings and emotions, they can be the crap that fuels our growth!! Crap that is dealt with has the potential to cause accelerated growth.

So whatever you are facing, know that this too can be a blessing. Take courage. You are a powerful person. You can process this and let it cause growth in your life rather than attract negativity.
Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

I pray the garden of your life will flourish as you choose to process what life throws at you with grace and ease!

Potential within a seed

Last night as I was soaking off to sleep with some music, I received revelation on the potential within a seed. Spring has sprung and I have finally got round to clearing my garden and planting seeds and seedlings. Oh what a beautiful, therapeutic task it is to garden with my children. Anyway, I had planted some seeds the day before and had remembered to water them in order to help them germinate. As I was laying there in my bed, almost asleep, the light bulb switched on and in about 10 seconds, I had a complete understanding of the potential within a seed and how it needs to be unlocked.

You see, a seed has a hard outer shell that protects all the potential inside. This hard outer covering is necessary for keeping the precious genetic information safe and secure until the ‘right conditions’. Now for a seed to germinate, it’s not about timing. I could watch a seed day after day, night after night, waiting for the right ‘timing’ but it is not going to germinate. Because a seed is not dependent on ‘timing. It is dependent on the right ‘conditions’ to germinate and release the potential within.

What are those conditions that the seed needs to germinate? All seeds need WATER, OXYGEN, and proper TEMPERATURE in order to germinate.

What quenches the thirst of your soul? What fills your lungs with breath? What enables you to feel warm, nurtured and safe? You are unique, and only YOU know what it takes. If you can answer these questions, then you have probably found the right conditions that need to be present to unlock the potential and the gift within you. And if you will intentionally foster an environment like this around you, you will find that the hard outer surface will begin to break away, and LIFE will come forth that carries the unique DNA of who you are and what you are called to release in the earth.

There is potential locked up within you that is not waiting for the right timing, it is waiting for the right conditions. It may have 1 or 2 of those conditions present, but the third element is not there. God knows that the precious potential and gifts locked up within us need the right conditions to be able to succeed…and he has designed us so that these gifts are kept safe until all three factors in our environment are right.

If you feel like your potential has been locked up within you and you can’t seem to ‘break out’ of the hard shell surrounding you, take heart, this shell has been protecting your potential until the right conditions are present to foster this precious gift within you. Be thankful for this.

BUT your next step is to take yourself from the current ‘conditions’ that are not helping you germinate, and SHIFT yourself into the environment FULL of the oxygen, water and the right temperature you need in order to germinate. Take a look at your life and the environment you currently live in, and assess the things that are preventing you from germinating. With courage and persistence, eliminate these negative factors and with JOY, recreate the environment you need to THRIVE. Because we need you, the world needs, you. The unique potential locked up within you is a gift to the world and must be unlocked.

With Love,

Raneeta

The Source of Healing...

Lately I have been pondering about health, healing, wellness, creation and more. God has been teaching me so much about Him on this journey, and I want to share with you the perspective He has given me that has blown some of the religious boxes in my mind.

Often in ‘Christian’ circles, we have considered God as our only source of healing and that anything else is less than desirable. Many of us in our pursuit of healing have declared that we are trusting God alone, and have done nothing but pray, receive prayer and lay our request before Him. I myself am an example of this. For a number of years, I was struggling with hay fever, and just kept asking God to heal me. I tried nasal sprays for a while but did not feel right about what they were doing to my body, so I continued to suffer the symptoms and ‘trust God’ to heal me.

Well, have I had a change in perspective! Over the past year I have received such revelation on healing that has blown my religious boxes on what healing is, what it looks like and where it comes from.  Well, it all comes from God ultimately, but the truth is, MOST HEALING does not come from God DIRECT to us, it comes in different vehicles. Creation is one such vehicle of healing that carries the life of God. The power and beauty of creation to heal is incredible. And why not?! God spoke it into being. It carries HIS healing voice and resonance.

If you like science to prove things, then just look at the science of nutrition and the properties of plants to heal. It is fascinating. I do not need science to tell me that eating natural foods and using natural medicines are good for me. I know God created all things for our good and I have experienced the healing power of nature for myself and my family. Nature has power to heal because it is the VERY NATURE of GOD that is woven into creation. And I fully embrace this vehicle of healing and wellness. In fact, it was the vehicle that brought me healing from hay fever.

Another vehicle that carries healing is our own bodies! God created us with an inbuilt ability to balance, restore and heal. This feature in our bodies is God Given and also very powerful. When we work WITH our bodies and LISTEN to what our body is telling us and RESPOND accordingly, we give ourselves permission to heal. This may be exercise, rest, sleep, eating right… Whatever the body needs, if we listen and respond, we can experience healing.

There is so much more to explore on this topic, but I will save it for another day. I am a HUGE believer in healing through prayer and miracles, and yet I know this is just ONE vehicle of healing. My main encouragement to you is this… You’re healing is within reach. God wants to heal you. God has already paid for your healing and made provision for your healing, BUT He may have placed it on a vehicle that you were not expecting. Maybe you were like me, crying out for healing from God, and not able to ‘see’ the healing that was available to you. Open your ‘ears’ to hear today and lift your ‘eyes’ to see today the vehicle for which God is wanting to provide healing for you. God delights in working through people and through creation…and your healing awaits you.

Health and Harmony to you and your families,

Raneeta

3 Tips to a Healthier Home

These 3 tips are not the WHAT TO DO, as we are all becoming more aware, but it’s the HOW TO DO…as in, how to transition your family into a healthier lifestyle. These come from my heart and experience over the past year or so. I hope these simple tips help you and your family enjoy the transition.

1)      Embrace the Journey. Turning around your lifestyle choices to become more natural and healthy is a JOURNEY! It is not an overnight change. There are toxic products that need throwing out, a pantry that needs an overhaul, taste buds that need adjusting, emotional habits that need attention and children that need to be convinced! LOL.

It’s a JOURNEY. And if we don’t see it that way, we will always be constantly frustrated at what we are NOT DOING well, instead of celebrating what we are doing well. So embrace the journey. Celebrate each step. Celebrate when you have stopped using chemicals in your kitchen, even if you are still using them in the bathroom. Celebrate when your kids enjoy your healthier baking, even if they still prefer packet items. Celebrate your progress and keep positive! It’s a journey, not an overnighter.

2)      Embrace the inconvenience and the time you spend learning. Yes, I totally did say that. Embrace inconvenience! Why on earth? Because the reason our world has become so toxic, unhealthy and nasty, is because we wanted convenience and we wanted it NOW! And we wanted it CHEAP too! This is what drives so much industry today that couldn’t care less about your health, your children and the environment. So in order to turn this baby around, we have to re-embrace time, processes and things that are less convenient than what we could grab at the supermarket. If we are not willing to do this, we won’t see much change in our homes and our society. Embrace the time spent learning. We have lost so much precious wisdom and knowledge from our grandparents that we need to relearn. Don’t feel it is a waste of time. It’s an investment of your time to learn to live healthier.

 3)      Have GRACE for yourself and the whole family. There have been times I have not walked in grace for myself, and this has just left me feeling down and discouraged that I am not doing what I know I should be doing. This is NOT going to help your health or your family. Most experts agree that 95% of all sickness comes from stress, so if we are stressed and not walking in grace for the journey, we are sabotaging our health from the inside out. Having grace for yourself when you learn these new things, means being kind to yourself and setting reasonable goals that you can manage. Also, it is super important to have grace for your family that it will take them time to learn to enjoy new foods, use new natural products and shake a few bad eating habits. Always extend GRACE to yourself and others and the journey will be so much better and fun for everyone.

I bless you with grace for your journey ahead. May you know the joy of living true, and living well.

Reflections on a Wonderful Winter

I love winter. Always have, always will. It probably has something to do with my birthday being in winter but also those fresh mornings, warm food, hot drinks and snuggly nights. But winter for most people is something to be endured and something to survive.

Our family has had such a wonderful winter this year and I just want to share some of our personal victories and breakthroughs as well as some keys that I believe have helped make this a successful, enjoyable winter.

Our Language: We have shifted from talking about sickness to speaking about wellness. NOW we talk often with our kids about how healthy and strong they are; about how wonderful their immune system it; about how blessed we are to have oils to protect us from bugs.

Love and listen to our bodies: We have taught the kids how wonderful their immune systems are, and when they have had fevers, we have taught them that the fever is working hard to fight the bugs (which is the truth). We do not supress our body’s immune responses, we work with them. You will be amazed at how fast you recover when you work WITH your body.

Healthy eating: We have been upgrading our food over the past year or so and eating more seasonal, fresh and whole foods. Processed foods are FAR less and real food is what we eat! I bake healthy snacks and cook from scratch.

Essential Oils: We all use oils daily. I spike my drinks. We diffuse mornings and afternoons (especially when the kids are at the bench eating). We do bedtime massages and foot rubs. If the children seem run down, we diffuse in their room overnight. The times the children have been unwell, we have used the oils to support their immune systems and they recover very quickly.

Warm home: We are blessed to have such a warm home that captures the sun so well. But this winter we put all 3 children in one room and had a small heater on through the cold nights. This worked beautifully!

Emotional/Heart Health: This year we have also talked a lot about feelings. When I notice one of the kids (or myself) seeming down or not themselves, I ask them questions like, “Hey what’s going on?” “Is there something you want to talk about?” “Is there anyone you need to forgive?” EVERYTIME I have done this, they have shared stuff with me and we have prayed through it and released whatever was needed, usually forgiveness. After this, they perk up again and I believe this also keeps them healthy from the inside out.

So I could type all day, but that’s enough to give you an idea and maybe a few keys that you could implement in your home. Don’t just survive winter in the future, THRIVE in each season and embrace each day and season for the joy it holds. Speak life into your family and partner with life in all you consume.

I bless you with health and harmony in your homes,

Raneeta
