Dealing with Crap

I love revelations I receive while gardening. There is just so much to learn and apply to life in a garden. Well, I don’t love dealing with ‘crap’ in the garden, but you can’t really avoid it since it is so good for the soil. I’m no expert in gardening by any means, but I know that compost, including animal poop is great for the garden and from time to time, I find myself shovelling horse and chicken poop. Eeewwww... (photo just to gross you all out)
So here is the ‘light bulb’ moment I received while shovelling poop. It is not what life throws at us that determines how we grow, it is how we deal with the crap that is vital. If we don’t deal with the crap we face in life, and let it linger, we attract all sorts of unwanted attention including flies! Flies can then breed and multiply, causing a bigger mess than we started with and a stench!
Unforgiveness, bitterness, hurt, regrets, disappointment, condemnation, shame, jealousy... these things happen. And if we have the courage and the wisdom to process these feelings and emotions, they can be the crap that fuels our growth!! Crap that is dealt with has the potential to cause accelerated growth.

So whatever you are facing, know that this too can be a blessing. Take courage. You are a powerful person. You can process this and let it cause growth in your life rather than attract negativity.
Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

I pray the garden of your life will flourish as you choose to process what life throws at you with grace and ease!
