My Big WHY for Juice Fasting

Image may contain: 1 person, smiling, drink and indoor
Today is day 24 of my 30 day juice cleanse and I have decided to write my story and what motivated me to do this. Many of you know, last month I went to the USA to do some additional study/training to add to my Naturopathy training and to attend a Young Living Retreat with my global essential oil family. My trip was so amazing and I had a wonderful time, making beautiful lifelong connections, learning, growing, upgrading, awakening with lots of tears and laughter along the way.

Image may contain: 4 people, including Adam Jeppson, Leslie Stevens Davis and Karlyn Abdalla, people smiling, people standing

My last 24 hours in the USA were not so fun because I started to have pain in my left ovary and the pain became more and more intense. My roommate Karlyn loved and served me so well, applying oils, running a bath, contacting others for support and so much more. I was so loved and supported by all my new friends and Young Living family, however, the pain only increased to the point where I was shaking and needed to go to ER. My check in time for my flight that day was 4:15pm and I arrived at ER about 11.
As the Young Living retreat was ending many had to catch flights and make the trip home, but my amazing brand new friend Leslie took me to ER.  I will forever treasure in my heart the love and care she showed me. The pain was so intense I continued to tremble and cry. I was quickly seen and taken for an ultrasound which was very uncomfortable while being in so much pain. While I was walking back to the room after the ultrasound, I was overcome with pain and emotion. Here I was, due to fly home today, and I was in ER in incredible pain.

That’s when I broke down. I started to cry, and weep and then I was overcome with a full blown panic attack.

Fast breathing and unrestrained sorrow poured forth from me. Leslie quickly came to me, and she embraced me. Even as I type this now, tears are filling my eyes as I recall the intensity of my pain and yet, the intensity of love that held me in that moment. I heard the overhead speakers declare that there was a panic attack taking place, and despite some of this being a blur, I was aware there was a rush of activity and a screen was placed around the area I was.

Words cannot fully describe that moment, but as you read this, I know your heart can feel my inner world. So much pain, yet so much love. So much fear, yet I was wrapped in arms of love and peace. Within a few minutes, I was able to slow my breathing down and peace overcame me. This is the first time the pain severely reduced and I knew I was going to be ok.

Image may contain: sky, outdoor and water
The rest of the story I will summarise quickly. I had a cat scan to make sure there were no other source of this pain and the ultrasound results came back inconclusive because I was shaking too much during the scans. I finally was able to get some serious pain meds to calm the pain and give me confidence that I could travel 17 hours in a plane. Leslie continually engaged my vision with hope. She kept asking me how I will feel once I am home with my family. She kept faith that I would make it to my flight and begin my journey home. I am forever grateful for her faith and love.

As I said, my check in time was 4:15 and we made is to the airport at 5pm. Phew! I checked in and it was time for me to fly solo. I cried my way through the airport. I looked a mess, I felt a mess, but I also felt so relieved that I was beginning my journey home. I had a 2 hour flight to Houston (which I slept) and I was wheel cheered through the airport to my next flight (now that’s an experience for a young fit mama). When I awoke on my final flight home, I was pain free and have not experienced any pain since then.

Sooooo, all this to say, this was the major push to do my juice cleanse. My body had whispered in the past that there was an issue here, but this time it SHOUTED and I heard my body loud and clear. I could choose to have surgery and have the cyst on my ovary removed, or I could have faith in all that I have been learning …the healing power of food, faith, declarations, emotional release and my God given ability to heal. My good friend Jack who I met in the USA advised me that a 30 day juice feast would give my body the nutrients and time it needed to heal, and so here I am.

Image may contain: food

I used to be able to feel the cyst each day, as it was up to 10cm and caused my tummy to look bloated, so I have enjoyed seeing my tummy flatten and I can no longer feel anything there. I am overjoyed with this miracle and I am booked in for a scan to confirm what I know has happened. I know so much more has taken place in my body than I can know, so I celebrate this transformation deep within my being. I am on my final 7 days of my cleanse and then I will transition gradually into eating whole foods again next week. I am so thankful for this opportunity to upgrade my health and experience the healing power of juice feasting.

The Importance of Recognizing Self

Yesterday I began my new assignment on the immune system as part of my studies to be a Naturopath. I love to study and learn new things and I especially love it when God begins to show me a parallel between the human body and spiritual truth. Well, I had this expectation in my spirit yesterday and as I was reading I could sense the spirit of wisdom and revelation lingering, ready to unlock some truth to me. Over the next few hours as I read and answered assignment questions I received this beautiful and timely word for the Body of Christ. I awoke today with an excitement to share it.

The one particular part of our immune response that I received revelation on was the development of self-recognition. You see, our immune system provides us with protection from ‘foreign invaders’ that seek to attack and destroy us causing sickness, death and disease. Without this system, we would easily die from invading pathogens. However, of equal importance is our system’s ability to recognise which cells are ‘self’ and which cells are ‘foreign’.

There is a very complex process that our body goes through to develop our immune system to recognise ‘self’ so that we do not attack and destroy our own cells (as seen in autoimmune diseases). There are two processes known as positive and negative selection which ‘weed out’ immune cells that do not recognise self and this is where I received revelation of what is happening in the body of Christ.

We are in a process of developing recognition of ‘self’ as the children of God. And by self, I do not mean just me as an individual. We are a body. One body. Jesus himself prayed that we would be one as He is one with the Father (John 17:21). We are in a season where we must embrace and recognize Christ in us and Christ in others and complete Oneness as a body.

There is a ‘positive and negative selection’ taking place which is eliminating those cells in the body that try to attack ‘self’. We could call it self-sabotage. See, what I didn’t tell you was that those immune cells that try to attack ‘self’ cells are destroyed. Yes your body completely annihilates these cells and entire cells lines that are ‘out of line’.

Anything we do or say that attacks ‘self’ is up for annihilation. Whether it is myself or my neighbor, my friend or another church member, my children or a careless driver, these ‘cells’ or thoughts or actions need to die. This is the process of crucifixion. For a body to thrive, we must not attack ourselves. We must rightly discern ‘foreign invaders’ and attack with full force, but we cannot live with self-sabotage.

The good news here is that the immune cells that do not attack ‘self’ are then multiplied and sent all over the body to do their job of attacking only foreign invaders. This is where my spirit is excited. There is a multiplication that is about to happen. Everything in us that walks in LOVE towards the body is about to be multiplied and sent throughout the body to deal to the real enemy.

So I am encouraged today to embrace the ‘weeding out’ process of any thoughts, ways or actions that are attacking ‘self’ which includes myself and others. Let us remember we are ONE BODY. Any thought that is less than love is not worthy to be reproduced and not worthy to ‘serve’ the body. Every time we choose love towards others and recognize that it really is our ‘self’ we are setting ourselves up for greater service towards mankind.

I pray that those who have ears to hear will hear what the spirit is saying today. I pray for grace to confess our shortcomings and ‘crucify’ anything that is less than love towards ourselves and others. I pray for an awakening to love the ‘whole body’ and begin to recognize ourselves as one body.

Much Love to you today

Love Whispers before He Shouts

God IS love. He is always speaking. He is always expressing His love towards us. Sadly, we are often not even aware of His love each day because His whisper can be drowned out by the clatter of this world.
I watched a movie last night that lingered on in my mind and heart. It lingered long enough to awaken areas of my parenting into greater love and joy (my funny accents and goofiness are back). I thought to myself, it may seem crazy but this movie has changed my life.

And then in dawned on me, the whispers in life can drastically change our lives if we choose to meditate on them and embrace the truth being spoken. However, sometimes in the busyness of life, the clatter of the world drowns out the whispers and we miss golden opportunities to grow in love. This made me ponder what maturity looks like.

I realised that…

Maturity can be measured by the level of resistance required for us to make adjustments in our lives towards greater LOVE. In other words, the mature respond to whispers.

Remember. Love whispers first. Only when we are still can we hear Him. If we constantly do not hear the whisper, love does raise His voice, because after all, He delights in loving us all. Love will speak up. Love will raise His voice. And ultimately Love will shout if necessary because Love never gives up.

Our bodies are the same. They begin by whispering to us when things are out of balance. A slightly sore knee, a sniffly nose, a headache. They all begin as whispers and if we give attention to those needs when they whisper, we find balance returns quickly.

However, if we ignore the whispers, just like Love, our bodies will raise their voice. The pain will get stronger, the symptoms will increase and the level of discomfort will increase. We have been magnificently made for balance and wholeness. If the whispers and nudges are constantly ignored, this leads to shouting which I would call chronic illness.

So if you feel that circumstances in your life are shouting at you or your body is screaming out to you, maybe it is time to pay attention. Maybe it is time to be still and ask yourself, “what is it that Love is teaching me in this season” or “What does my body require of me right now.” I dare you. Because I know Love has your best interest in mind and I know your body desires to be whole. Let us embrace the whispers of love and health today, and prevent the need for Love to shout.
May we have ears to hear what Love is whispering to us today.

Health and Harmony to you,

Raneeta Grace

The Trainer Wheels of Religion

As a mother of 3 beautiful children, I have had the honour and joy over the past few years of watching all three of them learn to ride a bike. Each child's experience has been unique, however, what I learned from our last child's experience was the most significant of all.

Trainer wheels are a disadvantage.

Yup, that's what I just said. From my experience, trainer wheels were a waste of time and in fact they hindered our girls from learning to balance on their own. The bridge between riding with trainer wheels and learning to ride without them is basically the same as learning to ride a bike from scratch,

You see, we bought our third child a balance bike. Genius inventions. They are genius because they allow a child to learn balance without having to focus on pedaling. It took our son 10 minutes to learn to ride a pedal bike after riding his balance bike. It took our daughters a few weeks to get the hang of riding without trainer wheels and they were far more freaked out as well.

Now you may be asking me, what does this have to do with religion? Well, basically everything. You see, religion is just like the trainer wheels of a bike.

Religion takes away our ability to find balance from within, and dictates to us what is right and wrong. Religion allows us to live 'uprightly' with external supports rather than living balanced from within.

Religion will never replace a relationship with Love Himself - Jesus Christ. He is my inner guide to living balanced. In my opinion, living religiously hinders our ability to hear God and walk with Him personally. When Jesus walked the earth, he frequently offended the religious people, and in my experience with Jesus, He has frequently offended the religious mindset in me and challenged my views of right and wrong by speaking directly to my heart.

Although I grew up in a beautiful Christian home with loving parents, I still grew up using the trainer wheels of religion. Judging what is right and wrong based on what I was told. On my journey of walking out my faith in relationship with Jesus, I have had to unlearn relying on what religion dictates to me, and relearn the art of staying connected with Christ in my heart.

My prayer is that we will all awaken to freedom in Jesus and throw off the trainer wheels. Yes, we may fall and graze our knees. Yes we may lean too far to the left or right, but that is how we were designed to learn. The pure joy of riding balanced with the wind in our hair is the same joy we can experience riding freely with Christ at the center.

Go on. Trust yourself. Trust the Christ in You. Trust this walk of faith.
I believe in You.

From Trying to Growing

Combining my studies to be a naturopath and my love for creation, I often receive lots of life lessons through plants. Today on this glorious spring day I decided to take a break from the paperwork to let the chickens out for a roam, collect some eggs and check up on some of my favourite trees in our backyard.

After hugging some chickens and admiring some of our trees, I was overcome with beauty and awe about how each tree produces such amazing fruit for us. My avocado tree for example was a gift from my dad 6 years ago when we first built our house. This is its 3rd year of fruit and we have had about 100 avocados this year! Yummo! And as I stand and admire this superfood tree, I reflect on how simply this tree blesses me.

It does not TRY to produce fruit. It just does.

That’s when it hit me. Just like plants, my role in life is to take what I am given and allow myself to grow the fruit that I have been preordained to grow.

A tree is planted, and it accepts where and when it is planted. A tree is exposed to the climate and receives the rain that falls, the sun that shines, the storms that pass and the temperatures that envelop it, and the tree converts these factors into growth. It is in the everyday, mundane factors of life that we can grow without striving or effort, but just by being thankful and present.

My avocado tree does not look across the lawn at my mandarin tree and wish it could produce sweet and juicy fruit instead of thick and creamy fruit. So we too must learn to embrace the fruit that we are called to produce in life, and let the fruit of others bless the world as they have been created to be.

Each fruit has a different purpose and function. Each are unique. Each are needed. Let us learn to honour the fruit on another’s life as well as loving and honouring the fruit in our own lives.

Let us quit ‘trying’ to be anything or produce anything and let us just BE present in gratitude, allowing everything in life to grow us and produce the fruit we were created to produce.

Peace and Harmony to you and your homes,
Raneeta Curtis

QUIT * COMMIT * GROW * DECLARE * OILS

So August is almost here and we need to do a few things to prepare for our winter wellness journey. Let's go through the 5 points and remember what we may need to prepare. Preparation is the key!
If you have not read the first post, please refer back to it here
http://harmonichealthnz.blogspot.co.nz/2016/07/invitation-to-winter-wellness-journey.html

QUIT:
We are all quitting wheat (gluten) and refined sugar (white, raw, brown, coconut sugar). Identify all the items in your daily life that you would usually consume with these things in them and start to say goodbye. But its not all sad. Now we find healthier alternatives to replace them with. You can buy gluten free bread if you would like to but I would recommend not over eating this either.

There are lots of natural sweeteners you can use in raw baking or to make your own sweet treats. I personally use honey and dates but you can also use rice malt syrup or 100% pure maple syrup. Read the label carefully as there are many syrups that are not pure. I'll post some of my raw baking fav recipes soon.

COMMIT:
Hydration is  key to wellness. We often think we may be having enough water but the best way to know is to have a big drink bottle and keep it with us. If its a 1 litre bottle, make sure you get through it twice a day. If its a 500ml, refill it and drink at least 4 times. Please don't just estimate. Aim for a minimum of 2 litres. This is actually not easy for me to do as I forget, but I will be committing to do this.
Also, schedule in 3 x a week for exercise. If we don't plan for it, we plan to fail. So plan each week with this in mind. Include your children if you can on bikes and in prams or enjoy the luxury of exercising while they are in daddy day care :)
I will also be having communion each day so if you want to join me in this, grab a bottle or two of mccoys dark grape juice and some gluten free bread or wraps.

GROW:
Choose 3 plants that you feel drawn to and grab some seeds/cuttings to get you started. You will need a pot, potting mix and lots of love. This step is really important, as I feel it will enable us to see how we are loving and nourishing ourselves just like the plant. I am looking forward to hearing revelations from this step and seeing photos!

DECLARE:
Now is the time to prepare your declarations for the month ahead. Think about anything you have struggled with recently and choose to focus on restoring this area with your declarations. Again, if you need help with this, please ask me. I would love to help. Keep it simple but powerful and to the point.

OILS:
Remember to select an oil to apply each day to help you on your journey. If you have not got an essential oil yet, please contact me asap so we can get it to you in time. Oils are very powerful and effective for supporting us physical and emotionally and work very nicely together with declarations. For a full list of essential oil blends, click here:
 https://www.youngliving.com/en_US/products/essential-oils/blends

I am excited to be doing this with you. August is going to be a powerfully loving and healing month for us all who are choosing this path. Please feel free to get in touch and tell me what ways you would like support.

Love,
Raneeta

Invitation to a Winter Wellness Journey

Well it is almost the last month of winter and I don’t know about you but some of my summery good habits have been forgotten. My heart for health and wellness is about cultivating a lifestyle that enables us to live in harmony with ourselves and the planet in spirit, soul and body. So I am inviting you on a journey with me for the month of AUGUST to reset good habits in our lives to sustain health and wellness.

Here is my Plan

QUIT:
  • ·         wheat
  • ·         sugar
  • ·         Optional: quit caffeine, dairy and meat

Wheat and sugar are two very common foods in our modern diet that we can definitely do without. By eliminating these two things, we create opportunities to include other more wholesome foods in our diet.

COMMIT:

  • ·         Drink 2 x litres of water a day
  • ·         Exercise 3 x 30 mins a week
  • ·         Optional: Daily communion

These simple activities are often neglected but can play a huge role in our overall energy levels and wellbeing. By committing for a month, we are setting ourselves up to create healthy routines for life. If Jesus is part of your journey, I highly recommend having communion with Him each day.

GROW:
  • ·         3 x plants/herbs from seed/cutting in your kitchen

Now you may be thinking that you might skip this point and it’s not relevant for you, but this point is ESSENTIAL on your journey. This is to learn the art of love and nurture. I believe our health is a reflection of our love and nurture of ourselves. By growing some plants from seed/cutting this month, we will be able to see a daily example of how small acts of love make a big impact and cause growth and life.

Find an indoor pot, grab some seeds and start loving those seeds to germination. It will encourage and inspire you.

DECLARE:

  • ·         Write and declare at least 5 daily declarations to support you

Declarations have changed my life this year and I have learned the more consistent we are, the faster the impact. Declarations can be very simple or a little more specific. Some of my declarations include: I am loved and accepted. I choose to be healthy and fit. I am fully awake and engaged with life.

If you need help writing your declarations, I am more than happy to help you out.

OILS:

  • ·         Select and apply one or more essential oils every day

Essential oils have been a huge part of my journey to health. Young Living has so many wonderful blends to help you on your journey including Acceptance, Abundance, Awaken, Envision, Valor, Peace & Calming, Stress Away, Joy, Release etc.

Choose one or more oils and intentionally apply them each day or night to support you on your emotional journey to wellness.

Yes! I choose this journey!

If this sounds like something you would like to be a part of, then I am asking for your commitment to all 5 aspects of this journey as I believe they are a powerful combination.

QUIT * COMMIT * GROW * DECLARE * OILS

To join the journey:

Like my FB page ‘Harmonic Health NZ - Young Living Essential Oils’
Comment on this blog post and say “I’m in”, “I’m keen” “Count me in”

We will use this facebook page to share the journey of winter wellness together and post comments, photos and ideas with one another. In the lead up to August, I will post tips and ideas to get you started.

Make a powerfully positive choice and join the journey! It will be fun to do it together.

The #1 Secret Ingredient to Your Healing

I love Monarch butterflies. I love watching them, I love growing them, and I love learning from them. You see, about 3 or 4 years ago, when we first started growing butterflies at home with my children, I began to awaken to some sweet revelation about transformation. The truth is, monarch butterflies cannot transform without eating about 90% swan plant. We learned that you can feed them pumpkin when they run out of swan plant, but this is only if they are almost big enough to transform anyway.

So the wonderful revelation I had about the key to transformation is this. Swan Plant = LOVE.

Without love, we cannot and will not transform into the new creation that God has intended for us to be. And so, the secret ingredient to your healing, your families’ healing, your children’s healing is…LOVE! In the past 2 years with all that I have learned and practised on my journey to natural health, that common thread for ever healing has been LOVE. Loving others, but just as powerfully, loving ourselves! For one to truly heal, self-love is part of the journey.

Again this year, as every year, we have more caterpillars than swan plant and we run into the desperate situation of not having enough for all of our precious caterpillars to transform. And I have realised we have a shortage of LOVE worldwide. A global deficit. There are so many on their healing journey, so many who desperately want to transform and become who they were called to be, and yet, there is currently not enough LOVE around to be that secret ingredient to complete the transformation process.

I am challenged. I am deeply challenged. When I see caterpillars crawling off in search of food because there is none left, it touches my heart. And now with the ‘knowing’ that the same thing takes place in our world each day, that people, precious people are looking, searching, hungry for love to help them make their transformation, I am deeply challenged that I would sow more seeds of love and cultivate acres of swan plants, acres of a love culture in order to be the catalyst for true healing, transformation and freedom. It is our responsibility to plant seed, it is God who makes them grow. There is no striving in this kind of love. But there is lots of giving, feeling, connecting, enduring and persevering.

May this inspire us all to cultivate more love in our homes, our communities and our beautiful world. Everyone deserves an opportunity to transform. Let’s make sure we provide the love when it is in our power to do so.

Raneeta

From Striving to Soaring

I am loving the journey and the study that I have chosen for this season of my life and it is massively impacting WHO I AM as well as HOW I LIVE. My latest thoughts have been about BEing rather than DOing. As a Christian, I have been brought up to DO the right things, SAY the right things and THINK the right things. And for the most part, I have lived like this by disciplining and controlling myself and it has been OK.

Well, over the past few years I have been learning about the importance of knowing WHO I am and that BEing must come before DOing. And just in the past few months, this revelation has grown in me deeper and wider and higher thanks to Sharnael Wolverton my essential oil Hero, Robert Stevens an author and speaker, my amazing leaders Mat & Renee Lansdowne and Andy & Dianna Piggot and so many more people and resources!

I received a prophetic song last month which says,
“I choose to soar, soar like an eagle. I quit all striving, flapping like a seagull.”
Not only was this funny, but profound. I had been watching a hawk that day and it was circling higher and higher for over a minute without any flapping. I was inspired. I wanted what that hawk had. I wanted to soar with grace and ease!

Now I am sure you all want to soar rather than flap. Everyone would rather choose grace and ease rather than striving right? Well what is the key? It is WHO YOU ARE! A seagull can TRY all day to soar without flapping, but it is not built to soar like an eagle. If you want to soar, you must choose to be an eagle. If your desire is to soar, and go to new heights and improve your health and live life more abundantly, then take heart, this is ALL possible when you CHOOSE to know WHO you are and WHOSE you are.

You are created in the image of GOD! You are creative. You are powerful. You are chosen. You are loved. You are blessed. You can choose to soar. You can choose to live with grace and ease. You can choose fun and joy everyday. That is who you are called to be and when you know that this is WHO YOU ARE, then you WILL SOAR with grace and ease!

I bless you with COURAGE to AWAKEN to who you are today.

You are an EAGLE.

The Kingdom is at Hand

I love how when Jesus walked the earth, He talked in parables. I love how He told stories and used pictures and this is often how He still speaks to me. The past few years have been filled with loads of fun revelation for me as I journey to understand God’s kingdom, and what that looks like.

In conversation with God one day, He showed me what it looks like for the kingdom to be at hand. To illustrate this, He showed me an iPad in my hand and He explained all the details to me.

Firstly, an iPad is an awesome piece of technology with such potential. That is us. That is all mankind. We are wonderfully and intelligently made. There is plenty that can be done without an internet connection, but we all know, an internet connection drastically improves its potential. And so it is with US and God. I’m talking about the 3G connection. A living active two way communication with the 3Gs. Father, Son and Holy Spirit! This connection unlocks incredible features on your iPad and creates unlimited possibilities. All the apps can come alive with this connection.

There are SO many different apps just as there are so many different abilities for us as people. The Gmail feature speaks to me of our communication with God. God’s google is available to us as an endless supply of knowledge and revelation. There is access to healing, prophecy, creativity, favour, freedom, love, joy, peace, forgiveness, reconciliation and SO MUCH MORE!

Just as with your iPad, you must first download an app and get familiar with how to use it. The more you use it, the easier it becomes. It is the same with us and the kingdom. The more you ‘access’ the kingdom apps at hand and use them, the more familiar they become and those aspects of the kingdom in your life grow.

The key to remember is your 3G connection. If you are having trouble accessing the kingdom right now, then check your connection. Don’t ditch all the apps and put down the technology because you can’t seem to access them. Work on fixing the connection first and the rest will follow. Focus your attention on the 3G connection, and the unlimited kingdom flows from that place.

The kingdom IS at hand. In fact, it is in YOUR hand. It is within YOU. Jesus ascended so that we could have the Holy Spirit live IN US and release the Kingdom from within.  So if you need access to the kingdom right now, have a go and make sure your 3G connection is strong and try out the apps you have been given. The world needs you to access the kingdom within. Go for it!
Now take a look at your hands right now and declare with me, “The Kingdom is at Hand!”.

Dealing with Crap

I love revelations I receive while gardening. There is just so much to learn and apply to life in a garden. Well, I don’t love dealing with ‘crap’ in the garden, but you can’t really avoid it since it is so good for the soil. I’m no expert in gardening by any means, but I know that compost, including animal poop is great for the garden and from time to time, I find myself shovelling horse and chicken poop. Eeewwww... (photo just to gross you all out)
So here is the ‘light bulb’ moment I received while shovelling poop. It is not what life throws at us that determines how we grow, it is how we deal with the crap that is vital. If we don’t deal with the crap we face in life, and let it linger, we attract all sorts of unwanted attention including flies! Flies can then breed and multiply, causing a bigger mess than we started with and a stench!
Unforgiveness, bitterness, hurt, regrets, disappointment, condemnation, shame, jealousy... these things happen. And if we have the courage and the wisdom to process these feelings and emotions, they can be the crap that fuels our growth!! Crap that is dealt with has the potential to cause accelerated growth.

So whatever you are facing, know that this too can be a blessing. Take courage. You are a powerful person. You can process this and let it cause growth in your life rather than attract negativity.
Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

I pray the garden of your life will flourish as you choose to process what life throws at you with grace and ease!

Potential within a seed

Last night as I was soaking off to sleep with some music, I received revelation on the potential within a seed. Spring has sprung and I have finally got round to clearing my garden and planting seeds and seedlings. Oh what a beautiful, therapeutic task it is to garden with my children. Anyway, I had planted some seeds the day before and had remembered to water them in order to help them germinate. As I was laying there in my bed, almost asleep, the light bulb switched on and in about 10 seconds, I had a complete understanding of the potential within a seed and how it needs to be unlocked.

You see, a seed has a hard outer shell that protects all the potential inside. This hard outer covering is necessary for keeping the precious genetic information safe and secure until the ‘right conditions’. Now for a seed to germinate, it’s not about timing. I could watch a seed day after day, night after night, waiting for the right ‘timing’ but it is not going to germinate. Because a seed is not dependent on ‘timing. It is dependent on the right ‘conditions’ to germinate and release the potential within.

What are those conditions that the seed needs to germinate? All seeds need WATER, OXYGEN, and proper TEMPERATURE in order to germinate.

What quenches the thirst of your soul? What fills your lungs with breath? What enables you to feel warm, nurtured and safe? You are unique, and only YOU know what it takes. If you can answer these questions, then you have probably found the right conditions that need to be present to unlock the potential and the gift within you. And if you will intentionally foster an environment like this around you, you will find that the hard outer surface will begin to break away, and LIFE will come forth that carries the unique DNA of who you are and what you are called to release in the earth.

There is potential locked up within you that is not waiting for the right timing, it is waiting for the right conditions. It may have 1 or 2 of those conditions present, but the third element is not there. God knows that the precious potential and gifts locked up within us need the right conditions to be able to succeed…and he has designed us so that these gifts are kept safe until all three factors in our environment are right.

If you feel like your potential has been locked up within you and you can’t seem to ‘break out’ of the hard shell surrounding you, take heart, this shell has been protecting your potential until the right conditions are present to foster this precious gift within you. Be thankful for this.

BUT your next step is to take yourself from the current ‘conditions’ that are not helping you germinate, and SHIFT yourself into the environment FULL of the oxygen, water and the right temperature you need in order to germinate. Take a look at your life and the environment you currently live in, and assess the things that are preventing you from germinating. With courage and persistence, eliminate these negative factors and with JOY, recreate the environment you need to THRIVE. Because we need you, the world needs, you. The unique potential locked up within you is a gift to the world and must be unlocked.

With Love,
